The New Mexico Chapter
encompasses the state and has a growing membership. A local
board of directors
has responsibility for the Association's activities.
The New Mexico Chapter of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals is an organization of development professionals with a common
goal of advancing philanthropy in New Mexico through promotion and advocacy
of ethical principles and standards, mentorship, recognition and fellowship.
Over 20,000 members/affiliates in 149 chapters in the United
States, Canada and Mexico, as well as members in other countries including
Australia, Brazil, China, Japan, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Turkey, United
Kingdom and Venezuela.

Open to all fund raising professionals for organizations
or institutions, as well as members of counseling firms that are currently
engaged in consulting, fund raising management or as self-employed professionals;
who, among other responsibilities, hold some degree of accountability for
income-generation within the philanthropic process; who estimate at least
a quarter of their time is spent on fund raising related responsibilities;
and who are compensated for their services.
First you must join the national organization. Membership
is for individuals, not organizations; and is nontransferable. Membership
follows you at the time of any job change or transfer.

members pay $220 per year national dues and $50 per year for the New Mexico
