AFP Luncheon Moves from May 15 to May 8:
AFP will be hosting a great spring planting luncheon on May 8 at the Embassy Suites. Our program will be how fundraisers can "Plant, Nurture and bring the Harvest back to their organizations!" We will be working on learning, building, and enhancing our skills as fundraisers in our various communities. Our presenters will be Jean Block on Planting, Jim Bonnell on Nurturing and Melody Mar Johnson on Harvesting. These three leaders are some of the best teachers on fundraising in this community. Bring your planting, pruning and fertilizing skills to lunch for this great spring program. Don't forget to register by Friday, May 2. Our fees are $20 for members and $25 non-members. May Audio Conference: Advanced Annual Giving Techniques - May 20, 2008:
Annual giving is both art and science. This session will discuss techniques to create annual leadership donors including utilizing prospect screening tools and applying them to a broader base constituency. Participants will learn how to maximize renewals to limit the "loss" of donors each year as well as advanced techniques to most cost-effectively acquire new donors. Finally, we will discuss the Case for Support and elements needed for the best response. Target audience is: Mid level 3-6 years of experience. Ms. Pavelka has presented at international, national and regional conferences for CASE, AHP and AFP. She has been recognized as a CASE "Stellar" speaker. June Luncheon:
The June 12 Luncheon for the NM Chapter of AFP will be a great opportunity to meet directly with media agencies on how the get the word out on your non-profit. We will hear short presentations from presenters on print, radio, TV, internet (including blogging) and others followed by time for questions and answers. Our goal is to help you know the what, where, when and why of letting donors know about your agency. Come out on June 12 for lunch and great speakers.
